Designation order

With its designation order, the North Sea Coastal Zone 1 site was designated on 25 februari 2009 as a special protection zone under the Habitat Directive. At the same time, the site was designated as a special protection zone under the Birds Directive.

Described in the Explanatory Memorandum that accompanies the designation order are the conservation objectives for the site. With this procedure, North Sea Coastal Zone 1 became a Natura 2000 site.
